Research interests:

My research focuses on molecular components and mechanisms of blood coagulation and associated disorders, in particular thrombotic thrombocytopenia purpura (TTP) and Hemophilia A. My current projects involve in 1) Cofactors dependent regulation of VWF function; 2) FVIII biology and its interaction with VWF; 3) Novel biomarkers that contribute to the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and therapeutic targets of TTP.

Research interests:

My research interests involve elucidation of the disease mechanism of Thrombotic Microangiopathy (TMA), a group of rare yet life-threatening thrombotic disorders, and development of new therapeutics in the animal models of TMA. Using the zebrafish and mouse models, my current work focuses on the identification and characterization of genetic factors that modulate the pathogenesis of TMA, and elucidation of the role of environmental factors that may act as disease modifiers.
