Iowa Refractive Course
Stipend provided by the program to attend and become laser-certified during residency.

American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting
Stipend provided by the program to attend once during residency.

American Academy of Ophthalmology Mid-Year Forum 
Stipend provided by  Kansas Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons for PGY-3 residents to attend.

Kansas City Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery Course (biennial with next in 2024) 

Kansas EyeCon
Each spring, the department organizes a regional conference that features nationally known guest speakers and highlights the residents presenting their original research projects.

Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology (KCSO&O) Annual Meeting
Regional conference that all faculty and residents attend. PGY-3 residents present cases in a Grand Rounds format.
