Training Sites
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program at The University of Kansas provides services at the main hospital, the Indian Creek Campus, and at St. Francis Medical Center.
The University of Kansas Health System
Our home base, where the majority of residency training takes place, is the University of Kansas Health System. Located in Kansas City, Kansas, the 910 bed hospital has a strong commitment to patient quality and service.
For the past ten years, U.S. News and World Report has ranked the hospital as the No.1 hospital in Kansas City, the region, and the state of Kansas.
The University of Kansas Cancer Center is located at the Westwood Campus and is awarded National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation.
The Medical Office Pavilion is adjacent to the hospital. The six-floor facility houses outpatient clinics for over two hundred University of Kansas physicians. Physicians from the OB/GYN generalist division, The Center for High Risk Pregnancy, The Center for Advanced Fetal Care and The Center for Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Repair are located here. Resident continuity clinics are also located in the Medical Office Pavillion.
Indian Creek Outpatient Surgical Center
The Indian Creek Outpatient Surgical Center is located less than 30 minutes from the main campus. Physicians from the generalist division, Center for Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery and Center for Advanced Reproductive Medicine perform surgery at the campus. The Overland Park Office provides a private practice setting away from the hustle and bustle of a large medical center while providing the quality, cutting-edge medical care you expect from our academic faculty members. The office includes an operative suite for office based procedures.
St. Francis Hospital
The 378-licensed bed St. Francis hospital in Topeka is located just under an hour from Kansas City and is the site for a three month rotation during the PGY3 year. The rotation offers residents exposure to practice in a community setting. Working at the Women's Center, residents participate in gynecologic surgeries and cesarean sections, working alongside the physicians in an outpatient setting.
