Curriculum and Didactics for the Academic Specialist Fellowship

As a fellow in the KU Medical Center academic specialist fellowship program, you will learn core educational techniques and then work with educational specialists in the department to provide didactic, case-based learning and simulation to the obstetrics and gynecology residents and medical students.

Each fellow will complete a research project that results in a publishable manuscript with the support of a dedicated mentor. 

Our rotation schedule is divided into 13 four-week blocks.

            Four blocks of research

            Three blocks of an elective/selective (see list)

            One dedicated OB inpatient in first 6 months

            One dedicated Gyn inpatient in first 6 months

            Four hybrid Ob/Gyn rotations to mimic a traditional provider work schedule
