We are pleased to welcome Kim J. Burchiel, M.D, F.A.C.S., a neurosurgeon, professor of Neurological Surgery, and head of the Functional Neurosurgery division at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Burchiel also directs the Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery fellowship program that encompasses the surgical treatment of pain, movement disorders and epilepsy. Since 1994, he has trained more than 40 fellows in Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery.
