Interested in applying to our Vascular Neurology Fellowship? Here's what you need to know.

Our Vascular Neurology fellowship appointment begins on July 1 and runs through June 30. Note: We accept J-1 visas.

Eligibility

Potential applicants must have completed a neurology residency by the time of entry into the fellowship and have a Kansas license to practice medicine.

The Vascular Neurology Fellowship program accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) during the December cycle and participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) to match candidates. The general timeline is:

  • November: ERAS application cycle begins
  • December: Programs review applications in ERAS
  • December – April: Interviews
  • April: NRMP* Rank order list certification deadline
  • May: NRMP Match Day – December Cycle
  • July (following year): Training position begins

To prepare for the application submission, at minimum, the following is requested:

  • Letter of interest
  • CV
  • At least 3 letters of recommendation, one of which must come from the applicant’s most recent program director
