Cynthia J. Ward joins the Department of Neurology faculty
A community neurologist who has extensive experience in the electrophysiologic lab, Ward is a native of Missouri
Cynthia J. Ward, D.O., is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Neurology and a neurologist at The University of Kansas Health System. Ward has taught medical students for nearly 20 years and has provided clinical neurology preceptorship of third- and fourth-year medical students since 2005. Previously, Ward was with Kansas City University.
Ward has been a community neurologist for nearly 20 years and has additional certifications in headache medicine. She has extensive experience in the electrophysiologic lab, performing EMGs and interpreting EEGs.
Ward earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. She completed her residency in neurology at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas, and an internship in internal medicine at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
