Patrick Landazuri receives Outstanding Physician Award from The Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri & Kansas
Landazuri is the inaugural recipient of the regional organization's award.

Patrick Landazuri, M.D., associate professor in the University of Kansas Medical Center's Department of Neurology and an epileptologist at The University of Kansas Health System, received the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri & Kansas’ inaugural Outstanding Physician Award.
The organization, which offers advocacy and education to people with epilepsy and their families within the two-state area, announced Landazuri’s recognition at the Kansas City Unmasking Epilepsy Gala on Saturday, April 5. Their Outstanding Physician Award aims to recognize physicians who, per the organization, show a “demonstrated commitment to providing the highest level of patient care and supporting the epilepsy community” through the advancement of epilepsy treatment, education and research.
“Dr Landazuri is recognized for his patient-centered approach to epilepsy care, providing individualized treatment plans that address each patient’s unique needs,” the organization said in a statement. “His expertise in managing drug-resistant epilepsy and surgical interventions has significantly improved patient outcomes.”
“It’s pretty humbling,” Landazuri said of receiving the honor. “My colleagues are so diligent in their own care practices, so it’s a privilege to be selected by them.”
