Neurology names chief residents for 2020-21 academic year

Ryan Lay, M.D., and Vishal Saini, D.O., selected for the 2020-21 academic year

Ryan Lay, M.D., and Vishal Saini, D.O., were chosen as chief residents in the department of neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Lay and Saini, who were chosen based on feedback from residents and faculty, will serve in their roles for the 2020-21 academic year. 

Lay earned a bachelor's degree in biology at Iowa State University and earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He is interested in stroke, neuromuscular medicine and general neurology. Lay enjoys disc golf, regular old golf, any/all movies, podcasts and fiction adventure books such as Sherlock Holmes and the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Vishal Saini, D.O.After finishing his undergraduate studies at Penn State University, Saini attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. His current interests in neurology are neurocritical care and sleep medicine. When not working, Saini likes cooking, drawing, watching movies and running.
