Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center to host new health conference
“Beyond the Diagnosis: Living the Day to Day” is a half-day conference available to those with MS, their care partners and health professionals.
The Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center at KU Medical Center will host a half-day health conference from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 12.
Designed for people with MS or other neurological conditions and their care partners, “Beyond the Diagnosis: Living the Day to Day” will include four interactive sessions centering on tools, resources and expert insights to support whole-person wellness. The conference is free for these attendees.
Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other health professionals, such as recreational therapists and social workers, are also encouraged to attend. Health professionals can earn 4 approved CEUs; their conference fee is $60.
In addition to sessions, the conference will include breakfast, lunch and a resource fair for all attendees.
The MS Achievement Center, housed within the University of Kansas Center for MS Care, is a community-focused program that provides wellness and resources aimed at improving the quality of life for persons with progressed MS.
