KU Alzheimer’s Disease Center experts headlining webinar on managing dementias

Experts from the University of Kansas Alzheimer's Disease Research Center will lead the webinar, "Managing Dementia: Best Practices in Screening, Diagnosing and Treating Various Dementias."

Set for September 25, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., the webinar is designed for physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, nurses and social workers who care for people with dementia. Topics will include recognizing early clues and screening tools, treatment and interventions, and the latest research and strategies for integrating research into a physician's practice.

Featured speakers will include Jeffrey Burns, M.D., co-director of the KU ADC, Michelle Niedens, director of the KU ADC's Cognitive Care Network and Ryan Townley, M.D., assistant professor of neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

The deadline to register is September 22 and the cost is $50. Continuing education credit will be offered. For more information, call 620-235-4040.
