The Department of Neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center will welcome eight fourth-year medical students into its residency program beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.

The incoming residents were celebrated during Match Day ceremonies held across the KU School of Medicine's three campuses in Kansas City, Salina and Wichita on Friday, March 21. Of the eight medical students who matched with KU Neurology, four are soon-to-be graduates of KU Medical Center: 

• Aspin Denson, M.D. - The University of Kansas School of Medicine (PGY-1)
• Morgan Hamersky, M.D. - The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita (PGY-1)
• William Liu, M.D. - The University of Kansas School of Medicine (PGY-1)
• Nataleigh Meier, M.D. - The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (PGY-1)
• Asher Parvu, M.D. - The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine (PGY-1)
• Andres Pope, D.O. - The University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine, TX (PGY-2)
• Daniela Salazar Arias, M.D. - Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador Facultad de Medicina, Ecuador (PGY-1)
• Sophie Troupe, M.D. - The University of Kansas School of Medicine (PGY-1)

This year's cohort will begin their residency on July 1.
