Department of Neurology announces 2026-2027 chief residents
The new clinical, education and research chief residents will begin their tenure on July 1.
The Department of Neurology is excited to announce our chief residents for the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Monika Rettler, M.D., will serve as clinical chief resident
- Arjun Rao, M.D., will serve as education chief resident
- Sai Pasya, MBBS, will serve as research chief resident
Chief residents play a vital part of the residency program experience, serving as leaders for other residents and liaisons between program leadership and residents.
“I’m very honored to be selected as one of the chief residents for this upcoming year,” Rettler said. “There have been wonderful chiefs who have come before me, and I hope to do them and my current co-residents proud.”
“I am excited to take on the role of rsearch chief resident," Pasya said. "Research is a vital part of academic medicine. It challenges us to question existing clinical practices and continually improve the care we provide to our patients. I hope to help foster an environment where residents and medical students feel encouraged to explore ideas, collaborate with our staff and contribute to advancing the field of neurology.”
