Part of the mission of the Bronchiectasis Care Center is to conduct clinical trials with the hopes of advancing the understanding of bronchiectasis and associated conditions, and helping with the evolution of therapies that will help improve the lives of people who have them. Pulmonary and infectious disease teams make up the core of our center, with other specialities joining us for specific cases and research opportunities.
Andreas Schmid, MD, Director of the Bronchiectasis and NTM Care Center at the University of Kansas Medical Center, leads the research team on multiple ongoing clinical trials.
