Our Program
- Our program consists of two critical care fellows
- Our fellows are the heart and soul of our program and have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of patient care at the University of Kansas Hospital and the Veterans Affairs hospital in Kansas City
Our Training Locations
The University of Kansas Medical Center
- The University of Kansas Health System is a 1045-bed hospital that has been consistently rated the best hospital in Kansas City by US News and World Report
- It is the primary subspecialty hospital for most of the central United States, including Kansas, Western Missouri, and parts of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Iowa
- Our division is the regional referral center for Pulmonary Hypertension, Interstitial Lung Disease, Adult Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma and COPD
- KU is home to one of the highest volume bone marrow transplant centers in the nation, with a dedicated BMT-ICU
The Kansas City Veterans Affairs MedicalCenter
- KCVA is a 142-bed hospital that provides care to over 50,000 veterans per year
Our division heads one of the largest lung cancer screening programs in the nation, with wide access to lung cancer staging procedures and therapeutics
