Fellowship Application Process
Interested in applying to KU Medical Center's hospice and palliative medicine fellowship? Review our application process:
KUMC offers a one-year clinical Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. We currently offer four Fellowship Positions annually: three Adult Focused track positions and one Pediatric Focused track position. Our program is accredited through the ACGME. Fellowship applicant eligibility guidelines are outlined in the ACMGE Hospice and Palliative Medicine Program Requirements. Our program has trained fellows with anesthesiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, med-peds, med-psych, neurology, pediatric, and surgery backgrounds. We are open to considering applicants of additional residency backgrounds in accordance with ACGME standards.
General timeline for HPM Fellowship Applicants (year preceding fellowship start):
- Summer: Applications accepted through ERAS
- Late Summer/Fall: Interview Season
- Winter: NRMP Sub-Specialty MATCH
