KUMC offers a one-year clinical Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. We currently offer four Fellowship Positions annually: three Adult Focused track positions and one Pediatric Focused track position.
Eligibility
Our program is accredited through the ACGME. Fellowship applicant eligibility guidelines are outlined in the ACMGE Hospice and Palliative Medicine Program Requirements. Our program has trained fellows with anesthesiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, med-peds, med-psych, neurology, pediatric, and surgery backgrounds. We are open to considering applicants of additional residency backgrounds in accordance with ACGME standards.
Application Process
Our program will go through NRMP Fellowship MATCH and uses ERAS for applications.
Timeline
HPM Fellowship applicants should consider these time frames in the year preceding the start of the desired fellowship:
- Summer: Applications accepted through ERAS
- Late Summer/Fall: Interview Season
- Winter: NRMP Sub-Specialty MATCH
