Whether it is lecturing in our one-year fellowship program, presenting research at a national conference, or partnering with nurses and social workers to instill the principles of ELNEC, our division is committed to education.

Our division provides educational opportunities for the following learners for both inpatient and outpatient settings:

• Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program
  
  
• Rotating KUMC Residents/Fellows
  
  
• Medical Students 
  -- SER Enrichment Weeks - 1st and 2nd Year medical students
  -- 4th-year KUMC medical student elective rotations (2-week and 4-week options)
  -- 4th-year visiting medical students
  
  
• Shadow Experience
  -- Facilitated through KU's KEE program
  -- Pre-medical students are asked to have prior shadowing in other areas of medicine before shadowing with palliative medicine.
