Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancer Team
The gastrointestinal cancer team in the division of medical oncology is committed to discovering new treatments, continuing research and training future oncologists and physicians.
The Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Kansas Medical Center has developed Cancer Site Specific Teams. The physicians specialize in specific types of cancer and are experts in their field.
Our GI Cancer team supports the professional development of interdisciplinary members through clinical practice, education, research, quality and organizational opportunities. Our team members elicit expert opinions from researchers, radiation oncologists, cancer psychologists and surgeons, among other professionals to determine the optimal treatment plan when reviewing clinical cases. Visit KU Cancer Center to learn more about GI cancers and treatments:
Our team also trains future oncologists who are currently training as fellows at the University of Kansas. Learn about fellowship opportunities in the Department of Internal Medicine-Division of Medical Oncology.
