The Olathe Campus is a well-established community health center, anchored by a 300-bed main facility that has been serving patients since 1953. Over the years, it has grown into a critical regional health network that supports a diverse population across four counties—providing you with an exceptional environment for hands-on learning.

For fiscal year 2025, the campus recorded over 13,000 inpatient admissions, and nearly 39,000 ER visits. In the same time frame, our ambulatory care services saw more than 260,000 patient visits, including 165,000 individuals managing chronic conditions. Of these, approximately 25,000 patients live with six or more chronic illnesses—offering an ideal case mix for developing strong diagnostic and management skills in internal medicine.

As a resident, you will train primarily at the Olathe Campus, which serves as both the core rotation site and the dedicated continuity clinic for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. You will learn directly from program leadership, a committed group of core faculty, and subspecialty education coordinators. This structure is designed to provide a rich clinical experience, comprehensive exposure to all major subspecialties, and strong mentorship to support your growth into a skilled, confident internist.
