The Kansas City VA Medical Center is a tertiary care referral hospital and the hub for the Western Orbit of VA Integrated Service Network (VISN) 15, serving Veterans in Missouri and Kansas. Clerkship students on hospitalist-led inpatient medicine teams learn in an interdisciplinary environment with residents, pharmacists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Elective rotations are available in a variety of subspecialties. Students gain experience in healthcare delivery within a large integrated network and have the privilege of providing care to America’s Veterans with integrity, commitment, advocacy, respect, and excellence (VA core I-CARE values).
