When can I apply for a CI fellowship?
We open applications a year before the start date, i.e. every July for positions starting the following July. You may begin applying to our program when ERAS opens for applications for the July application cycle.
Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited residency or a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)-accredited residency program. We consider applicants from ALL types of residency programs.
I'm an international medical graduate. Can I apply to your program?
Yes, if you are board-eligible or certified in a primary specialty and completed your residency program from an ACGME-accredited residency program.
How can I apply to your program?
We accept applications through the ERAS program. Our ACGME ID is 1391914001.
What documents need to be submitted?
- Application
- Curriculum Vitae
- Personal statement
- 3 letters of recommendations
- Including one from current or previous program director
- Or for those in practice for over 10 years, from a current employer or mentor - Medical school transcript
- USMLE and/or COMPLEX board score reports
When does the program hold interviews, and what is the deadline to apply?
Interviews for the current application cycle include will be held in September and October. As needed, interview dates may be added in November. Interview days fill up on a first-come, first-served basis.
Does your program participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)?
No, not yet. All CIF programs have agreed to make their selections on the same day. Details about the Match will be discussed on your interview day.
How many fellows does the program have?
We are accredited for a total of four fellows. Two fellows per year for two years.
