Our Program Goals and Aims:

• Our interprofessional approach will allow residents to work as part of a team, with a wide variety of health care professionals. These professionals include nurses, social workers, care coordinators and pharmacists to support the needs of patients.

• We focus on the social determinants of health and health care disparities impacting patients, recognizing that successfully caring for a patient depends on caring for the whole individual.

• Our residents will be challenged to integrate the science of medicine with the tools of listening, understanding and empathy, caring for patients with compassion.

• We promote a culture that supports intellectual curiosity, while providing care based on evidenced-based medicine.

• We leverage technology to measure, assess and facilitate improvement, which can extend from individual patient care to our community's health more broadly.

• We promote a culture that fosters physician self-care and well-being.
