Application Information

Interviews and site visits

We will be hosting virtual interviews in the upcoming interview season. We use a holistic process to review ERAS applications and will use signaling as part of our review. We will follow AAMC’s guidance regarding signaling: “The AAMC suggests applicants signal their most interested programs regardless of whether they are home (programs) or away rotations.” We welcome, and encourage, people from different backgrounds to join our team. We seek to recruit team members who will help make the population of our physicians more representative of the population we serve.

We will send out interview invites in early October. Interviews will take place in November and December.  Qualified applicants will be invited to interview with our faculty and residents and take a virtual tour of the KUMC campus and the Family Medicine clinic.  View an example interview schedule.

Our GME offers an optional in-person open house for interviewed applicants during January or February of interview season.

We recognize that the residency application process is critical to your career. Connecting with the right applicants for our program is also important to us. If there is anything that we can do to improve the application process for you or your family, do not hesitate to contact us:
