Over the past decade, our Department has experienced phenomenal growth in both the clinical and research enterprise - and consistent with this growth, the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the University of Kansas Hospital has been ranked in the top 50 programs in the nation for 13 consecutive years by the U.S. News & World Report's annual survey. We are ranked the top Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery program in the Kansas City metro region as well as top hospital in Kansas City and the State of Kansas! We have a strong commitment to patient care, education and contributing to our profession through research.
