Professional Background

My research is focused on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Obesity is associated with an increased risk for PDAC, thus I am investigating tumor-adipose crosstalk with its effects on anti-cancer immunity, as well as how proteins contributing to oncogenic Kras signaling have alternative roles in PDAC metabolism. The goal of my research is to identify ways to manipulate the immune-system and identify metabolic vulnerabilities of pancreatic cancer.
