Professional Background

Originally from central Kansas, I obtained my bachelor's degrees in animal science and industry from Kansas State University. Following graduation, I embarked on a career at Charles River, initially as an Animal Technician and swiftly advancing to the role of Non-Human Primate Colony Manager within a year. Transitioning from there, I served as an Assistant Scientist at MRIGlobal before returning to academia at KUMC to pursue my doctorate. Currently, my research focuses on investigating the role of the Androgen Receptor in therapeutic-resistant breast cancer. My goal is to improve the survival outcomes of patients resistant to treatment and to deepen our understanding of the mechanisms underlying tumor resistance.
