Eranga Rupasinghe

Eranga Rupasinghe portrait
Graduate Student - Stefan Bossmann Lab

Professional Background

Etanga was born and raised in Sri Lanka and completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Ruhuna, majoring in Chemistry with Zoology and Botany as minors. From early on, Eranga was fascinated by how chemistry and biology come together to create the complexity and precision of living systems. That curiosity led her to The University of Kansas Medical Center, where she is currently a graduate student in the Department of Cancer Biology under the mentorship of Dr. Stefan Bossmann.

Eranga's research combines experimental biology with advanced imaging to study biological processes in a clear, quantitative way. She has hands-on experience with preclinical imaging platforms and is especially interested in connecting imaging data with molecular and cellular analyses to better understand disease mechanisms.

Outside the lab, Eranga enjoys listening to music, singing, and walking in nature, which helps her maintain focus, balance, and consistency in her work.
