Professional Background

I am a graduate student in the lab of Dr. Kalyani Pyaram. I obtained my Master’s degree in technology from KIIT University, India in Biotechnology. Thereafter, I gathered research experience in cancer epigenetics from ACTREC, Mumbai. My research interests are T-cell Biology and immunometabolism. My current research focuses on understanding how antioxidation pathway proteins modulate inflammatory responses in immune cell mediated pathologies like colitis and in cancer. With my research, I hope to gain insights into novel mechanisms, potentially using Nrf2 as a drug target in inflammatory disorders and other diseases.

My love for traveling has influenced me to visit different places and meet new people. When not in the lab, I enjoy reading, cooking, eating and listening to music. Apart from this, I am an Indian classical dancer trained in Kathak and Bharatnatyam for more than 12 years.
