Professional Background

I am a graduate student in Dr. Kalyani Pyaram’s Laboratory. I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Zoology from the University of Delhi, India. I gained research experience at the National Institute of Immunology (NII), Delhi where I examined the influence of CCCTC-binding factor (CTCF) on chromatin domain organization of murine TCRβ locus. This work fueled my passion to learn about the impact of T-cells in disease outcomes, which led me to the Pyaram Laboratory. Here, my current project focuses on investigating the role of antioxidation system, Keap1-Nrf2 in modulating CD4 T-cell effector responses.

When I am not in the lab, I enjoy painting, hiking, and tweeting. Catch me on Sci Twitter (@AprajitaTripat5).
