The University of Kansas Obstetric Anesthesiology Fellowship is a 12-month non-accredited program with position being 50% fellow and 50% junior faculty. Obstetric Anesthesiology is the specialty of medicine that manages anesthesia in pregnant patients with complex co-existing maternal disease.
The overall goal of the Obstetric Anesthesiology Fellowship is to prepare the fellow to become an expert in the field, with training in four areas — clinical, administrative, academic and research. As an expert, the fellow will be able to provide specialized and high-level care to patients, act as a consultant and educator for other professionals and participate in the scientific discussion within the specialty.
Fellowship Details
Salary: Market Competitive Salary. The fellow will function 50% as a fellow and 50% as a junior faculty member.
Prerequisite: Board-eligible/Board certified Anesthesiologist. Requirements and information about obtaining an Active Kansas Medical license can be found at the Kansas Board of Health Arts M.D. & D.O. Licensure Types/Designations.

- Three (3) letters of recommendation: one (1) anesthesiology residency program director at your training institution and two (2) from faculty at your training institution.
