School of Medicine Scholarships
Many scholarship opportunities are available to support medical students, whether enrolled or looking to enroll. Generally, these scholarships have specific criteria, and you're considered ineligible for School of Medicine scholarships if you are a recipient of the Kansas Medical Student Loan (KMSL), National Health Service Corps Scholarship, Indian Health Service Scholarship or a military scholarship. Students enrolled in a combined degree program are also deemed ineligible for these scholarships.
There are two types of scholarships:
- Direct application to the sponsoring agency
- Scholarships awarded by the School of Medicine Scholarship Committee
Scholarship awards determined by the Office of Cultural Enhancement and Diversity will be based on the School of Medicine scholarship application and reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
School of Medicine scholarships are generally non-renewable and may be based on financial need and/or merit as well as responses to the questions on the application. Please be aware that only those who complete the School of Medicine scholarship application will be considered for a scholarship, and you must reapply each year.
Additional information can be found on the Student Affairs SharePoint site. Incoming students will receive an e-mail with a specific deadline date based on their date of acceptance. Applications received after specified deadlines will not be considered.
