My career pursuit involves advancing the field of neuromodulation for neurorehabilitation and pain block. I am developing a non-invasive method for nerve conduction block, the goal of which is to block muscle spasticity in individuals with central nervous system damage or disease, and potentially to abolish pain in the periphery in those with acute or chronic pain. I am currently a resident in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center.
In 2004 I received a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics as well as a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona, Magna Cum Laude and Honors. I obtained my PhD in Molecular and Integrative Physiology with a focus in Neuroelectrophysiology in 2011 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where I also received my Doctorate of Medicine in May of 2013
