Residency: Anatomic Pathology, Johns Hopkins, PSTP Program, Baltimore, MD. June 2020 - Present.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Genetics, Cell Biology and Development. After graduation, I managed the University of Minnesota Zebrafish Core Facility for one year. Then, I spent three years working as a Research Assistant at the Sarcoma Research Center at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
My Ph.D. work at the University of Kansas Medical Center focused on the mechanism of liver metastasis suppression of Inter Alpha Trypsin Inhibitor 5 (ITIH5) in pancreatic cancer. My current research interests include solid tumors, cancer metastasis, and developmental biology. I enjoy gardening, cooking, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
