School of Health Professions Event

Hooding and recognition ceremonies for students graduating from programs in the School of Health Professions will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.

Due to pandemic safety precautions, only faculty and students are allowed to attend this event in person. Guests are not allowed to attend this year's event. A link for livestreaming for family and friends will be distributed prior to May 15.

University Commencement

The University of Kansas commencement ceremony will take place Sunday, May 16 in Lawrence, Kansas, and include the KU tradition of walking down the hill and into Memorial Stadium. Family and friends are invited to attend this event.

On Sunday, May 16, Dean Akinwuntan is hosting a commencement reception for graduating students and their guests on the Lawrence campus. Stop by the Kansas Union Ballroom on floor 5 of the KU Memorial Union to enjoy refreshments and pick up some fun items including a school-branded bag and sunglasses.

This year's commencement is an all-day event with designated times for groups of students to be honored. Students should first select the time that best works for them. This reception will be available all day, so please stop by before your depart to walk down the hill. More info.
