Learn how the School of Health Professions clinics provide hands-on training for future health care professionals while serving our community.

Students in the School of Health Professions gain hands-on experience while learning from the expert practitioners who make up our faculty. Our clinics and faculty practice sites include on-campus and community-based locations, serving individuals from the Kansas City Metro and beyond.

Nutrition Clinic

Providers are using the latest technology to assist in improving and maintaining good health through body assessments and nutrition counseling.

Speech-Language Pathology Clinic

The clinic offers comprehensive services to people with communicative disorders throughout the Kansas City area.

Driving and Mobility Services

Specialists use state-of-the-art technology in the evaluation and rehabilitation of different modes of mobility. Clinical driving evaluations are available.

Hearing and Speech Clinic

Certified doctoral-level providers address a wide range of hearing and speech impairments for individuals of all ages.

JaySTART Clinic

Students in training, under the direct supervision of licensed providers, provide free occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy care to patients in the Kansas City area.

Swim Program for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

In a partnership with local communities, KU developed the Sensory Enhanced Aquatics program to teach swimming and water safety to children with autism.
