How to Apply

Ready to apply to KU doctorate program in physical therapy? Here are the steps you'll follow.

Application Steps

July 2024 update: the new hybrid option to our physical therapy program is available.

  1. Please review our full list of program eligibility requirements and PTCAS program page to ensure you are ready to apply.
  2. Complete the online application through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) at ptcas.org. Please submit all required materials directly to PTCAS and your application will be forwarded to the programs you designate. You will be asked to indicate whether you would like to apply to the on-campus pathway only, hybrid pathway only, or both pathways on your KU application. You DO NOT need to complete a second PTCAS application if you would like to be considered for both pathways.
  3. Once your PTCAS application reaches “Verified” status, you will receive an email requesting payment of the $75.00 supplemental KU application fee. This fee is non-refundable.
  4. If you're accepted into the program without official transcripts at the time of application, final official transcripts for your undergraduate degree will be required to be sent from your institution directly to KU. Note: students receiving their undergraduate degree from KU are not required to submit final official transcripts.
