How to Apply
Ready to apply to KU's Doctor of Physical Therapy program? Here are the steps you'll follow.
Application Steps
- Please review our full list of program eligibility requirements to ensure you are ready to apply.
- Complete the online application through the Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service (PTCAS) at ptcas.org. Please submit all required materials directly to PTCAS and your application will be forwarded to the programs you designate.
- Once your PTCAS application reaches “Verified” status you will receive an email requesting payment of the $75.00 supplemental KU application fee.
- If you're accepted into the program without official transcripts at the time of application, you must send final official transcripts to the department at the end of the semester in which your undergraduate degree was achieved.

Please note that application deadline and program start dates may vary slightly from year to year. Specific dates for each admissions cycle can be found on our PTCAS program page.
An early decision option is no longer available to physical therapy program applicants in the U.S. The American Physical Therapy Association implemented this change effective from the 2020-2021 admissions cycle.
