Research in Rehabilitation and Lifestyle Interventions
The following groups in our department are active in this area of research: Sleep, Health, and Wellness Lab; Health Exercise and Aging Lab; Clinical Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Research Lab; Neuromuscular Research Lab; Diabetes Research Lab; and Behaviors for Family Health Lab.
Research in Motor Control and Mobility
Researchers in the following labs are leading studies in motor control and mobility: Lab for Advanced Rehabilitation Research in Simulation; Vestibular and Balance Rehab Lab; Neuromuscular Research Lab; Clinical Locomotion and Emerging Virtual Reality Lab; and Mobility and Falls Lab.

The Leveraging Education and Research in Physical Therapy lab promotes excellence and collaboration to optimize physical therapy education.
Accreditation and Student Outcomes
The KU doctor of physical therapy program is currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. Learn more.
