The OTD is a professional doctorate designed to develop leaders in practice and education. The Ph.D. is a research doctorate designed to develop academic researchers.

Yes. This program is tailored to the interests of the student and their professional goals. Live courses are scheduled to accommodate students that are employed full-time. 

The post-professional occupational therapy doctoral degree program is a minimum of 36 credit hours beyond a master's degree. Students typically take 3-6 credit hours (1-2 courses) per semester. For example, if you take one course per semester including summer, it will take four years to complete the program. We encourage students to continue working while enrolled in the program. This way, they can apply the material they are studying to their current practice. Most of our students work full-time.

We will assign an academic advisor to assist with course planning and enrollment.

Students will participate in learning activities throughout the curriculum that will help guide them in determination of your capstone experience. Prior to enrolling in your advanced-practicum and capstone project you will select mentors to support you.
