Faculty-managed clinics within the Intercampus Program in Communicative Disorders serve the local community while also providing critical, hands-on training for students.
The Hartley Family Center for Childhood Hearing is dedicated to studying the nature, causes, diagnosis and treatment of hearing disorders in children, as well as delivering health care to children with hearing loss. Located in Kansas City, Kansas, the center serves families with children of all ages who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Located in Lawrence, the Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic offers comprehensive services to people with communicative disorders throughout the university community and surrounding area.
All services are supervised by clinical faculty who maintain the certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
