For Participants

An Assessment of DHA On Reducing Early preterm birth (ADORE) Trial is studying the effects of high dosages on pre-term labor, lowering the probability of pre-term births.

woman with hang on her own pregnant bellyAll women in this study are given either a low dose (an amount currently found in many prenatal vitamins) or a higher dose of DHA and asked to take three capsules every day until their baby is born. After the study, participants would learn which dose they were given.

Who can participate?
Women between 12 and 20 weeks of pregnancy and 18 years old or older are eligible.

Compensation:
Participants will be reimbursed up to $100 each for their participation.

Location:

The lab at the KU Medical Center campus in Kansas City, Kansas.

Driving Directions
Getting to the KU Medical Center is easy. We're close to I-35 at the intersection of Rainbow Blvd. and 39th Street.

Visitors should park in the public parking garage along Olathe Blvd. on the south side of the campus. Accommodations are available upon request.
