The KU School of Health Professions welcomed 80+ players for the 2026 Making Health Care Heroes Golf Tournament held August 27, 2026.
This year's event included not just a fun day on the green, but also a putting contest, a live auction, the 100 prize boxes activity and so much more. More than $42,000 was raised this year, and all of the funds will be used to help provide needed financial support to our students. Third Annual Golf Tournament a Big Success
The "Making Health Care Heroes" golf tournament fundraiser held on August 28, 2025 had the most golfers ever (100) participate in our three years of hosting this event. In addition, the initial tally shows we raised upwards of $45,000, and one hundred percent of these funds will go toward support for students in the School of Health Professions.
Big Win at Second Golf Tournament Fundraiser
The School of Health Professions held its second annual "Making Health Care Heroes" golf tournament at St. Andrews Golf Club on August 23, 2024. And what a tremendous success it was!
We had 18 teams of golfers competing and also held a silent auction. The funds raised will boost support for our students, helping them become successful future leaders of health care. We are extremely grateful to each of our sponsors, participants, volunteers and supporters for such an outstanding effort.
Recap: First-Ever Event a Big Success!
The School of Health Professions held its first-ever “Making Health Care Heroes” golf tournament at St. Andrew’s Golf Club on August 18, 2023. We had 18 four-person teams of golfers competing for prizes, and held a fun raffle drawing during the lunch reception following.
More than $40,000 in net proceeds were raised from our inaugural event. These funds will allow us to provide increased support for our students, helping them become successful future leaders of health care.
