Dr. Awan is board certified by American Board of Medical Physics and American Board of Science in Nuclear Medicine and is a member of the American Association of Physicist in Medicine. His research interests include interstitial brachytherapy, external beam radiation therapy techniques, and radiation dosimetry, application of Radiopharmaceutical for diagnostic as well as therapeutic purpose. He is also registered as Authorized Medical Physicist with Kansas Department of Health and Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

Research
Overview
Dr. Awan has joined the University of Kansas Medical Center as a clinical Medical Physicist in 2017. Dr. Awan completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Physics with research emphasis on interstitial brachytherapy. His research work is published in several peer review journals, and he also presented his research work in several national and international conferences. He presented 35 abstracts in scientific conferences and has more than 15 publications to his credit.
