Dr. Sarah Pourakbar is an Assistant Professor and Associate Residency Program Director in Dermatology at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Pourakbar received her medical degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine’s 6-year BA/MD program, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her preliminary year in Internal Medicine at The University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine. She proceeded to complete her residency in Dermatology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Resident during her final year of residency. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Complex Medical Dermatology at The University of California San Francisco.
Dr Pourakbar’s clinical and academic interests includes complex medical dermatology and inpatient dermatology. She currently serves as the director of the inpatient dermatology service.
