Professional Background
Dr. Moser is the Medical Director for The University of Kansas Health System's Care Collaborative, whose executive director is Jodi Schmidt.
Dr. Moser served as the executive director of the Kansas Center for Rural Health from March 2022 until January 2025. The Center for Rural Health was established on the Salina KUMC campus. Before working at the Center for Rural Health, he was appointed Dean for the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Salina Campus on May 1, 2019. He served until January 2023, when he focused on the Center for Rural Health and in his role as medical director for the UKHS Care Collaborative.
Previously, he was the Executive Director of The University of Kansas Hospital's Health Care Improvement Award, which focused on improving the outcomes of heart disease and stroke for rural Kansans since late 2014. The Care Collaborative works with more than 67 counties across Kansas, assisting with moving evidence-based care into clinical practice, and serves as a Patient Safety Organization.
Dr. Moser is a Family Physician with a certificate of added qualification in geriatrics. He attended the KU School of Pharmacy and the KU School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Smoky Hill Family Practice Residency in Salina, KS. After training, he practiced Family Medicine for 22 years in Tribune, KS.
