Dr Bhagat is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at University of Kansas Medical Center.
He joined the University Hospital Cardiology team in 2009.
Dr Bhagat is a clinical cardiologist who sees outpatients at Leavenworth and Kansas City locations. The inpatients are seen only at the main campus of University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr Bhagat received his medical degree from Kanpur University in India in 1986.
He then joined NYCOM in Long Island, NY as an Anatomy Instructor for one year.
He completed his Internal Medicine residency in 1990 at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. The 3 year Cardiology fellowship was completed in 1993 at Mt Sinai Services at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, NY.
He was in a Cardiology practice in Staten Island, NY for a period of 4 years. Dr Bhagat moved to Kansas City in 1997. He and 2 other cardiologists started a new CV practice group - Kansas Cardiovascular Associates in 1998. The group then merged with University of Kansas in 2009.
