Professional Background
Royce Gray, M.D. has a Doctorate of Medicine from Texas AM University in College Station, after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in History / Political Science, then a Master of Arts in History, also in Texas. He completed residency in psychiatry at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Dr. Gray will serve as an attending on the KU Adult inpatient service at Ascension Via Christi. He also maintains a clinic panel for KU School of Medicine in Wichita and works in the Department of Psychiatry as a Clinical Assistant Professor, engaging in teaching and scholarly activities. Prior to returning to academics, he had a significant career in the private sector working as an inpatient attending for Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital in Panama City, Florida. He was Assistant Medical Director for a large community mental health outpatient clinic previously known as Florida Therapy Services, Inc., across northwest Florida. He worked in private practice with Capital City Psychiatry in Tallahassee and taught for HCA-UCF Capital Florida Psychiatry Residency. He has worked in correctional psychiatry at the El Dorado Facility of Kansas.

Overview
Dr. Gray co-authored materials for "Laboratory Testing in Psychiatry" for the DeckerRX residency curriculum used by many programs throughout the USA. He currently researches refractory mood disorders and co-occurring personality disorders.
