Single, secure system for storage and tracking of subject enrollment data, regulatory information, study-related documents, study calendars and budget information for past and current research. Also used in billing compliance activities. |
Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) | Web-based platform providing research compliance training, including that required under the KUMC Training Policy: Responsible Conduct of Research, Good Clinical Practice, and Human Subjects Protection. DocuSign- Part 11 Compliant |
Secure e-signature platform compatible across a variety of devices. Research Administration oversees DocuSign's Part 11 compliant component. Contact RA-systemssupport@kumc.edu for assistance; training and acknowledgment are required. |
Employee Compensation Compliance (ECC) |

myIRB | Online IRB system for all KU campuses, serves as electronic file cabinet for each study displaying the status of each submission, modification and continuing review within a study's history. Read More |
Healthcare Enterprise Repository for Ontological Narration (HERON) | Search discovery tool that allows KUMC faculty members to search de-identified data from various hospital and medical center sources. Read More on the HERON page |
Microsoft Teams | Microsoft 365's hub for teamwork, available to all University faculty, staff and students as well as Health System employees. Offers chat, meeting, calling, file sharing and collaboration tools all in one place. Read More on the Information Resources intranet page |

Epic O2 Library | Epic O2 is the University of Kansas Health System electronic health record system. Access to this system is restricted by user role; visit the library for details. |
PolicyStat | KU Medical Center's policy library platform. The Policy Program oversees the development, approval and review of policies and procedures. Read More on the Policy Program page |
REDCap | Secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases that can be used to collect virtually any type of data but is specifically geared to support data capture for research studies. Read More on the REDCap page |

Viva Engage | Viva Engage (formerly known as Yammer) is a private, institutional social networking tool providing opportunities to connect, collaborate and share information across campus. Several special interest groups are available on KU Medical Center's Viva Engage network; of particular interest to research personnel are: the Clinical Research Community; Sponsored Programs Research Funding & News and the Research Community.
