    Reflective thoughts from regular attendees

    • The best therapy I’ve ever had. To be able to write my soul down on paper and share means so much. It has been happy, deep, profound, fun, gratifying. I am reaching a new level of understanding.
    • I should tell you first - I‘m very protective of our “family“. And I am always telling others of our adventures in writing. I trust and more importantly – respect everyone’s thinking, opinions.  I also try to praise others in our family about their work and try to never neglect what they think or make them feel rejected.  Everyone has an opinion and we are family.
    • We gather to write on subjects that are thought provoking in a room of sister-friends. I am uplifted when I write and empowered. When I listen and the words shared flow from a place of trust and respect.
    • Every month a new/different topic, but one I can fit into my life.  I can explore ideas, hear others ideas, that are not focused on politics or religion but those topics are welcomed and included. I feel heard and supported.
    • The Writing for Life group has given me a safe. Wise, righteous, intelligent, talented, elders, forgotten octogenarian octopuses.  I reject lies, infomercials, falsehoods and entropy.
    • As a result of my time spent in the Writing for Life group, I have come to experience trust without judgement. We are open, honest, safe, and caring for each other.  We share from our hearts because this is a safe and caring environment. I have experienced growth as a person. As a result, I am learning to listen with and from my heart. My emotions are heighten because of the love I feel when we are together. We care, this is why we share!
