Are you a diabetes researcher or clinician interested in collaborating?

The Diabetes Institute supports the fundamental role of basic research, data collection, and outcomes research to improve the lives of people with diabetes. We offer expertise in study design, grant preparation, study start-up (sponsored and IIT), regulatory management, and study coordination.

For assistance with grant preparation, please allow at least two months prior to the deadline for pre-review. For more information, please contact Program Manager, Michelle Vitztum.

Services provided to assist with grant preparation:

  • Editorial staff to review for grammar, formatting, and clarity.
  • Scientific Pre-Review
    • The KU Diabetes Institute will assemble 2-3 successful researchers in the area of study to review the grant and provide feedback to the principal investigator.
    • The Institute can also organize pre-grant discussion groups for the investigator(s) to present aims pages, general design, etc. to a broad group of researchers for immediate feedback and discussion.
