Professional Background
Dr. Schmidt was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. After medical school at St. Louis University Medical School he came to Kansas City for training in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at The University of Kansas Medical Center and then joined the faculty. He is dedicated to comprehensive care of patients with rheumatic disease focusing on the diagnosis and management of systemic sclerosis and other complex systemic autoimmune diseases.
